Baby Making Machine
Baby Making Machine, Multi-media & Sound, 10’ x 5’ x 6’9, 2011-2012
The Baby Making Machine can fabricate a baby via an inferred, linear, domino-like sequence of imaginary connectivity. It doesn’t work, of course, but it looks like it could, maybe. Found objects are uniformly painted an artificial cartoon-ish peachy skin color, the round grill is an over-the-top nod to a pregnant belly. With a series of pulleys, tubes and pipes one can theoretically choose an eye color to start the process.
